Colour is the part people agonise over the most, and it is the one decision that changes how the whole room feels. Here is how we help customers narrow it down.
Start with the light
North facing kitchens get cooler light, so warm off whites, creams and soft taupes stop the room feeling grey. South facing kitchens can carry deeper colours such as sage green, dusty blue or charcoal without feeling closed in.
Work with what stays
Your floor, worktop and splashback are usually staying put, so pick a cabinet colour that sits comfortably beside them. Warm oak floors love sage and cream. Grey tiles sit better with off white, navy or charcoal.
Consider two tones
A darker colour on the lower units with a lighter shade above is a simple way to add depth without committing the whole room to a strong colour. Islands are another natural place to introduce a second shade.
